Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SweepBox: SweepBox Lite, our Chrome extension, and SweepBox Pro, our web app at pro.sweepbox.app. By installing or using either, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. The service

SweepBox ("the Service", "we", "our", "us") reads your Gmail through Google's official Gmail API, groups it by sender, and lets you unsubscribe and delete in bulk.

• SweepBox Lite is a Chrome extension running in Gmail's side panel: scan, unsubscribe, bulk delete.
• SweepBox Pro is a web app that adds a separate list for non-subscription mail, sorting by size, age and read rate, a Trash view with per-sender recovery, filing senders under Gmail labels, smart vaults, and cleanup routines — saved rules plus unsubscribe enforcement.

Both run in your browser and act on your mailbox at your direction. Neither sends your mail to us.

2. Account and eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction)
• You must have a valid Google account
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account, any SweepBox licence key, and your devices secure
• You agree to use SweepBox only on Gmail accounts you own or have explicit permission to manage

3. Plans and pricing

Lite — free tier. No payment required, subject to lifetime usage caps (currently 50 unsubscribes and 2,500 deletes). We may adjust these caps with reasonable notice in the product.

Lite — Unlimited. $9.99 USD per year (or the local-currency equivalent at Stripe's prevailing rate), which removes those caps and includes priority email support. It is tied to a licence key issued at purchase, valid for one year from activation, and usable across your devices via "Restore purchase". It does not auto-renew — we email you near the end of the year and you may renew at the then-current price.

Pro. A subscription at $7.99 USD per month or $49.99 USD per year. It renews automatically until cancelled, and you can change plan, update your card or cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked in the app's account menu. On cancellation you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Prices are exclusive of any tax that Stripe is required to collect in your jurisdiction.

4. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your payment card details.

Refund policy: you may request a full refund within 14 days of any purchase by emailing support@sweepbox.app with the subject "Refund request". No conditions attached and no explanation required. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Automated actions on your mailbox

Pro can act on your mail without a further prompt each time, but only in ways you have configured yourself:

• Rules you create, and starter rules you switch on, archive, trash, mark as read, or label mail matching the conditions you set — each time you run a cleanup
• Unsubscribe enforcement moves to Trash any new mail from a sender after the date you unsubscribed from (or blocked) them
• Auto-filing and smart vaults apply Gmail labels and archive mail out of your inbox

You choose what to switch on, can pause or delete any of it at any time, and each cleanup reports what it did. Deletion always means "move to Gmail's Trash", which Gmail empties automatically after 30 days — so a mistake is recoverable within that window, and permanent afterwards. You remain responsible for the rules you create.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SweepBox to access or modify mail in any Google account you do not own or have explicit permission to manage
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute SweepBox, a licence key, or a subscription
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code other than in accordance with your legal rights
• Use SweepBox to send unsolicited communications or otherwise violate Gmail's terms or any applicable law
• Use automated tools to circumvent free-tier limits or other technical controls

We may suspend or revoke your licence or subscription without refund if we have reasonable belief you have violated these rules.

7. Intellectual property

SweepBox — its source code, branding, design and documentation — is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension as installed from the Chrome Web Store and the web app as provided, for personal or internal-business use, subject to these Terms.

8. Third-party services

SweepBox relies on:

• Google's Gmail API — your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Stripe — purchases are subject to Stripe's Services Agreement
• Cloudflare — hosting for the site, the app and our payments service
• DeBounce — sender logos, requested by domain
• Senders' own unsubscribe endpoints — reached directly by your browser when you unsubscribe

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of these third parties.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from rate limits imposed by Google — Gmail throttles heavy accounts, and a large scan may slow down or need to be retried
• Every unsubscribe will stop a sender mailing you (honouring an unsubscribe is the sender's responsibility, not ours — which is why enforcement exists)
• All mail moved to Trash can be recovered (Gmail's 30-day Trash window applies)
• Scan results are exhaustive — senders using non-standard headers or unusual wording may not be detected
• Sender logos are accurate or available for every sender

You acknowledge that SweepBox modifies your Gmail at your direction, and that we cannot guarantee perfect outcomes.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR US$5.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using SweepBox at any time: uninstall the extension, stop using the web app, and (optionally) revoke Gmail access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Cancelling a Pro subscription is done in the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On termination, sections 7, 9, 10 and 11 survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the products and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
